Senior Accountant

Our client, a leading player in the metal industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, with a keen understanding of the unique challenges within the metal sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decision-making.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reporting.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the metal or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
