Job description:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and processes related to sock manufacturing. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, efficiency, and innovation in sock design and production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Create and refine mechanical designs for sock manufacturing equipment.
- Develop prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate performance and durability.
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement engineering solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with product designers, textile engineers, and production teams.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the production phase.
- Quality Assurance:
- Establish and monitor quality control measures to ensure product standards are met.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Project Management:
- Lead engineering projects from conception through to completion.
- Prepare documentation and reports on project progress and outcomes.
Job requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in textile or apparel manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering simulation tools.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
